Greg Swenson, CFA Director of Equities

Greg is the Director of Equities at The Leuthold Group LLC. In addition to leading the team in evaluating investment opportunities, overseeing and managing risk, he is a Co-Portfolio Manager for Leuthold investment portfolios and an important contributor to the firm's research content.

Along with his other duties, Greg is involved in quantitative development and maintenance of the firm's global investment strategies and the analysis of domestic securities. He monitors and evaluates the quant factors employed for investment selection and dissects the attribution of performance.

Greg joined us in July of 2006. Prior to this, Greg was a Consultant and Account Executive at FactSet Research Systems based in Chicago. In that position, he oversaw a large base of investment-firm and hedge-fund clients and aided Analysts and Portfolio Managers in expanding the depth of their securities and portfolio analysis capabilities. While at FactSet, Greg worked extensively with the Leuthold research team in the initial development of their global marketplace data analysis. Greg graduated with honors from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, and he is a CFA charterholder.
